Here’s How to Make this Dairy-Free Vanilla Whipped Cream Topping
INGREDIENTS
- 2 ½ cups of California walnuts, divided
- 1 cup of water
- 3 tablespoons of powdered sugar
- 1 to 2 teaspoons of honey, divided
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
DIRECTIONS
- Purée 2 cups of walnuts and water in a blender for two minutes or until very light and fluffy.
- Add the powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon of honey, vanilla, and salt, and blend together for 30 seconds. Add the second teaspoon of honey if you prefer a sweeter taste.
- To achieve a thicker whipped cream, add the remaining ½ cup of walnuts and purée until it becomes light and fluffy.
Now that you have your whipped cream base, you can play around with these flavor variations!
