Air Fryer Chicken Parmesan

The fact that crispy golden chicken can be achieved without the use of any oil whatsoever is amazing (not to mention how quickly the air fryer can do it!). This chicken Parm tastes every bit as good as the traditional version with much less effort to get there.


- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs

- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

- 1 teaspoon garlic powder

- 1 teaspoon dried oregano

- 1 teaspoon dried basil

- 1/2 teaspoon salt

- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

- 1/4 cup olive oil

- 1 jar of your favorite marinara sauce

- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

- Olive oil cooking spray


1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).

2. In a small bowl, mix together the panko breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, garlic powder, oregano, basil, salt, and black pepper.

3. Dip each chicken breast into the olive oil, making sure to coat both sides.

4. Then, coat the chicken in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing the mixture onto the chicken to ensure it sticks.

5. Spray the air fryer basket with olive oil cooking spray and place the chicken breasts into the basket.

6. Cook for 10 minutes, flipping the chicken halfway through.

7. Once the chicken is cooked, pour the marinara sauce over the chicken and top with shredded mozzarella cheese.

8. Place the chicken back into the air fryer for an additional 3-5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

9. Serve hot, garnished with fresh chopped herbs, if desired. Enjoy your delicious air fryer chicken parmesan!
