air fryer chicken schnitzel bites with honey mustard sauce

Air fryer chicken schnitzel bites with honey mustard sauce

These crispy-coated buttery chicken bites are super juicy. The paprika adds a hint of smokiness which works wonders with the honey mustard dipping sauce. The addition of vinegar with the honey cuts through the sweetness. Dill and chicken are a perfect traditional combination with mustard. If you aren’t a dill lover, try parsley or chives.

Ingredients:

- 1 pound chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces

- 1 cup bread crumbs

- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

- 1 egg

- 1 tablespoon olive oil

- 1 teaspoon salt

- 1 teaspoon black pepper

- 1 teaspoon garlic powder

- 1 teaspoon paprika

- 1/4 cup honey

- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

Direction:

1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).

2. In a small bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. This will be your seasoning blend for the chicken.

3. In another small bowl, beat the egg.

4. In a third small bowl, mix together the bread crumbs and all-purpose flour.

5. Dip each chicken bite into the beaten egg, then coat it in the bread crumb mixture, making sure to coat all sides.

6. Place the coated chicken bites in the air fryer basket. Drizzle a tablespoon of olive oil over the chicken bites.

7. Cook the chicken bites in the air fryer for 10-12 minutes, depending on the size of the bites, or until they are golden brown and crispy.

8. While the chicken is cooking, prepare the honey mustard sauce. In a small bowl, mix together the honey and Dijon mustard until well combined.

9. Once the chicken bites are done cooking, remove them from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes.

10. Serve the chicken bites with the honey mustard sauce on the side for dipping. Enjoy your delicious air fryer chicken schnitzel bites!
