air fryer roast chicken

Air-fryer roast chicken

Cook a whole chicken in the air-fryer for a great way to keep the meat juicy. We’ve created a spice mix to flavour the chicken, too, or you can use your own.

Ingredients:

  • 1 whole chicken (about 3-4 pounds)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Direction:

1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F.

2. Rinse the chicken and pat it dry with paper towels.

3. In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, dried rosemary, paprika, salt, and pepper.

4. Rub the mixture all over the chicken, making sure to get it evenly coated.

5. Place the chicken breast-side down in the air fryer basket.

6. Cook the chicken for 25 minutes at 375°F.

7. After 25 minutes, flip the chicken over and cook for an additional 25 minutes.

8. Check the internal temperature of the chicken using a meat thermometer. It should read at least 165°F in the thickest part of the chicken.

9. If the chicken is not fully cooked, cook for an additional 5-10 minutes.

10. Once the chicken is fully cooked, remove it from the air fryer and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.

11. Optional: If you want crispy skin, you can place the chicken under the broiler for a few minutes before serving.

12. Serve and enjoy your delicious air-fryer roast chicken!
