Stir-fried beef in a light gingery sauce. Serve over steamed rice or hot egg noodles.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb beef strips
- 1 cup snow peas
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon ginger powder
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
- Cooked rice, for serving
Direction:
1. In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, ginger powder, soy sauce, and honey.
2. Place the beef strips in a large zip-top bag and pour the marinade over it. Seal the bag and massage the marinade into the beef. Let it marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours.
3. In a small bowl, mix together the cornstarch and 1 tablespoon of water to create a slurry.
4. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the marinated beef strips to the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beef is browned and almost cooked through.
5. Add the snow peas to the skillet and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the snow peas are tender.
6. Pour the cornstarch slurry into the skillet and stir to combine. Cook for another 1-2 minutes, until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and snow peas.
7. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
8. Serve the Asian beef and snow peas over cooked rice and enjoy! You can also add some extra soy sauce, if desired.
