Direction:

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

3. In a separate large bowl, mix together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until well combined.

4. Add in the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix until smooth.

5. Slowly add in the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until a soft dough forms.

6. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.

7. Using a cookie scoop or spoon, scoop out dough balls onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches of space between each cookie.

8. Lightly press down on each dough ball with the back of a spoon to flatten them slightly.

9. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown.

10. Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

11. Serve and enjoy your delicious, chewy chocolate chip cookies! Optional: drizzle with melted chocolate and sprinkle with sea salt before serving for an extra decadent touch. Enjoy!
