Consider this sauce your steak's new best friend. Herby, salty, and a bit sweet, you'll be putting this sauce on everything now.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ribeye steak
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Direction:
1. Start by patting the ribeye steak dry with paper towels to remove any excess moisture.
2. In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil and Cajun seasoning. Rub this mixture all over the steak, making sure to coat both sides.
3. Let the steak marinate in the seasoning for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator. This will allow the flavors to penetrate the meat.
4. Preheat your grill or grill pan to high heat.
5. While the grill is heating up, melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add a pinch of salt and pepper to the butter and stir until well combined.
6. Once the grill is hot, place the steak on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or longer if you prefer a more well-done steak.
7. As the steak is cooking, brush it with the melted Cajun butter on both sides. This will add extra flavor and help keep the steak moist.
8. Once the steak is done cooking, remove it from the grill and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
9. Cut the steak into slices against the grain and drizzle any remaining Cajun butter over the top.
10. Serve the Cajun butter steak with your choice of side dishes and enjoy!
