Cajun sausage roll

For a fiery kick, dunk these cajun-spiced beef mince sausage rolls into spicy Tabasco and tomato dipping sauce.

Ingredients:

- 1 package of refrigerated pie crust

- 1 pound of ground cajun sausage

- Olive oil

- Cajun seasoning

- Dried thyme

- Dried oregano

- Dried basil

- Salt

- Pepper

Direction:

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

 

2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground cajun sausage with 1 teaspoon of cajun seasoning, 1 teaspoon of dried thyme, 1 teaspoon of dried oregano, 1 teaspoon of dried basil, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix well until all the seasoning is evenly distributed.

 

3. Roll out the refrigerated pie crust on a floured surface and cut it into 4 equal rectangles.

 

4. Place a handful of the seasoned sausage mixture onto one end of each rectangle, leaving about 1 inch of space around the edges.

 

5. Brush the edges of the pie crust with olive oil and then tightly roll up the sausage mixture, sealing the edges with your fingers.

 

6. Place the sausage rolls onto the prepared baking sheet and brush the tops with a little more olive oil.

 

7. Sprinkle the tops of the rolls with a pinch of cajun seasoning for added flavor.

 

8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the sausage is fully cooked.

 

9. Let the cajun sausage rolls cool for a few minutes before serving. They can be enjoyed on their own or with your favorite dipping sauce. Enjoy
