Creamy Cajun Noodles

When you launch the gallery you will find simple dishes that are packed with flavor, so if you find yourself in a weeknight meal rut, these are sure to kick things up a notch. The Cajun Dirty Rice works as a main dish, a side, or even packed lunches for work, so it's really versatile too. I can’t wait to try to Cajun Ham and Beans, and the Cajun Crab Dip would be a huge hit at your next party!

Ingredients:

- 1 pound linguine

- 2 tablespoons olive oil

- 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning

- 1 teaspoon garlic powder

- 1 teaspoon onion powder

- 1 teaspoon dried thyme

- 1 teaspoon dried oregano

- 1 teaspoon paprika

- 1 teaspoon black pepper

- 1 cup heavy cream

- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

- Salt to taste

- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Direction:

1. In a large pot, bring water to a boil and cook the linguine according to package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set aside.

2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, oregano, paprika, and black pepper. Stir and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

3. Pour in heavy cream and stir to combine with the spices. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.

4. Add the cooked linguine to the skillet and toss to coat with the creamy Cajun sauce.

5. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese and continue cooking for another 1-2 minutes until the cheese has melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy.

6. Taste the noodles and add salt if needed.

7. Serve the creamy Cajun noodles hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired. Enjoy!
