Easy bacon, pesto and haloumi bites

5 ingredients are all you need to make these super easy bacon, pesto and haloumi bites.


- 12 strips of easy bacon

- 1/4 cup of pesto

- 12 small pieces of haloumi cheese

- Olive oil

- Salt

- Black pepper

- Dried oregano

- Toothpicks


1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).


2. Cut the bacon strips into thirds, creating 36 smaller strips.


3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add a drizzle of olive oil.


4. Add the bacon strips to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are crispy. Remove from heat and set aside.


5. In a small bowl, mix together the pesto, a pinch of salt, black pepper, and a sprinkle of dried oregano. This will be the seasoning for your haloumi bites.


6. Cut the haloumi cheese into small cubes, about the size of a quarter.


7. Take one bacon strip and place a small piece of haloumi cheese at one end. Roll the bacon strip up around the cheese and secure with a toothpick.


8. Place the bacon-wrapped haloumi bites on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.


9. Using a spoon, spread a small amount of the pesto seasoning onto each bite.


10. Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the bacon is crispy.


11. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.


12. Serve warm and enjoy your delicious and easy bacon, pesto and haloumi bites! Optional: serve with extra pesto for dipping.
