Easy cinnamon breakfast scrolls

These easy cinnamon scrolls use puff pastry instead of a yeasted dough - meaning they’re super quick to make. Using a pie maker, you can have breakfast on the table in less than 20 minutes!


- 2 cups self-rising flour

- 1/4 cup white sugar

- 1/2 tsp salt

- 1/2 cup milk

- 1/4 cup olive oil

- 2 tbsp butter, melted

- 1 tsp ground cinnamon

- 1 tsp vanilla extract

- 1 tsp dried ginger

- 1 tsp dried nutmeg


1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the self-rising flour, sugar, salt, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg.

3. In a separate small mixing bowl, whisk together the milk, olive oil, and vanilla extract.

4. Slowly pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms. If the dough is too dry, add a splash of milk. If it's too wet, add a sprinkle of flour.

5. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough into a large rectangle, about 1/4 inch thick.

6. Spread the melted butter over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle an additional pinch of cinnamon on top.

7. Roll the dough up tightly, starting from the long edge. Cut the roll into 1-inch slices.

8. Place the slices on the prepared baking sheet, leaving a few inches of space between each one.

9. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the scrolls are golden brown and cooked through.

10. Let the scrolls cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your delicious and easy cinnamon breakfast scrolls!
