Easy Classic Chinese Beef Stir Fry

This is made with a simple but super flavourful, classic Chinese stir fry sauce. It’s a real sauce, one that tastes just like you get at proper Chinese restaurants!


- 1 lb beef, sliced thin

- 1 onion, sliced

- 1 bell pepper, sliced

- 2 cloves of garlic, minced

- 1 tbsp olive oil

- 1 tsp soy sauce

- 1 tsp honey

- 1 tsp cornstarch

- Salt and pepper to taste


1. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, honey, and cornstarch. Set aside.


2. Heat a large pan or wok over medium-high heat and add the olive oil.


3. Add the sliced beef to the pan and season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes.


4. Add the onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic to the pan. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are slightly softened.


5. Pour the soy sauce mixture over the beef and vegetables. Stir to coat everything evenly.


6. Continue to stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until the beef is fully cooked and the vegetables are tender.


7. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.


8. Serve the beef stir fry over a bed of rice or noodles, if desired.
