Jam and Cream Doughnut Buns

There’s no more lining up at the bakery for this sweet treat! Get your pie maker out, grab a few vital ingredients and you’re well on your way to making a delicious bun treat for the whole family – at a FRACTION of the cost for the real deal.

Ingredients:

- 1 package pre-made biscuit dough

- 1/4 cup jam of your choice

- 1/4 cup cream cheese

- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

- 2 tablespoons olive oil

- 1 teaspoon cinnamon

- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

- Pinch of salt

Direction:

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Take the pre-made biscuit dough and cut into 8 equal pieces.

3. Roll each piece into a ball and then flatten it into a disk shape with your hands.

4. Place a teaspoon of jam onto the center of each dough disk.

5. In a small bowl, mix together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and a pinch of salt until well combined.

6. Spoon a dollop of the cream cheese mixture on top of the jam.

7. Fold the edges of the dough disk up and around the filling, pinching them together to seal in the jam and cream cheese.

8. Place the dough balls onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each one.

9. Brush the tops of the dough balls with olive oil and sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.

10. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.

11. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.

12. Optional: Sprinkle with additional powdered sugar on top before serving for extra sweetness.
