Mini cheeseburger pies

Kids and adults alike will love these mini party pies with all the flavours of a traditional cheeseburger!

- 1 pound ground beef

- 1 onion, diced

- 1 teaspoon garlic powder

- 1 teaspoon onion powder

- Salt and pepper

- 1 package refrigerated pie crust

- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

- Olive oil

- Ketchup, mustard, and pickles (optional for serving)

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. In a large skillet, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the diced onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

3. Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it up with a wooden spoon as it cooks.

4. Once the beef is cooked, add the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to taste. Stir to combine and remove from heat.

5. Roll out the refrigerated pie crust onto a floured surface. Using a round cookie cutter or a glass, cut out circles of dough that are about 2 inches larger than the cups of a standard muffin tin.

6. Press the dough circles into the cups of the muffin tin, making sure they are evenly pressed against the bottom and sides.

7. Spoon the cooked beef mixture into each of the pie crust cups. Top each mini pie with a sprinkle of shredded cheddar cheese.

8. Fold the edges of the pie crust over the filling to create a small crust on top.

9. Bake the mini cheeseburger pies for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

10. Allow the pies to cool for a few minutes before removing them from the muffin tin.

11. Serve the mini cheeseburger pies with ketchup, mustard, and pickles on the side, if desired.
