Forget brittle packet versions and make these ultimate choc chip cookies. Expect a crisp exterior, chewy middle and chunks of gooey dark chocolate

Ingredients:

- 1 cup all-purpose flour

- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

- 1/4 teaspoon salt

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature

- 1/2 cup granulated sugar

- 1/4 cup brown sugar

- 1 egg

- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

- 2 tablespoons olive oil

- 1 teaspoon cinnamon

- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

Direction:

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Set aside.

3. In a separate mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

4. Add in the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.

5. Slowly add in the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, and mix until a smooth dough forms.

6. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.

7. Drizzle in the olive oil and mix well. The olive oil will add a subtle richness and depth of flavor to the cookies.

8. Using a cookie scoop or spoon, form the dough into balls and place them onto a lined baking sheet.

9. Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.

10. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
