Enjoy these tender ribs with a barbecue glaze. Serve with corn cobs, fries and slaw as a weekend treat for the whole family.
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs of pork ribs
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- Salt
- Pepper
- Garlic powder
- Onion powder
- Paprika
- Barbecue sauce (optional)
Direction:
1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius).
2. Prepare the ribs by removing the membrane on the back of the ribs. This will help the ribs to become more tender and flavorful.
3. In a small bowl, mix together the salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. This will be your dry rub for the ribs.
4. Drizzle the olive oil over the ribs and rub it all over to coat the ribs.
5. Sprinkle the dry rub all over the ribs, making sure to cover both sides.
6. Place the ribs on a foil-lined baking sheet and cover them with another layer of foil. This will help to seal in the moisture and create steam, making the ribs more tender.
7. Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
8. After 1 hour and 15 minutes, remove the top layer of foil and brush barbecue sauce over the ribs. If you prefer your ribs without barbecue sauce, you can skip this step.
9. Place the ribs back into the oven, uncovered, and bake for an additional 15 minutes. This will allow the barbecue sauce to caramelize and create a delicious glaze on the ribs.
10. Once the ribs are done, remove them from the oven and let them rest for 5-10 minutes.
11. Serve the oven-baked ribs hot with your favorite side dishes and enjoy!
