Smoky chipotle oysters

Kick start your festive celebrations with these fiery oysters, topped with lime and tequila-infused salsa.


- 12 fresh oysters, shucked

- 2 tablespoons olive oil

- 2 cloves of garlic, minced

- 1 teaspoon chipotle powder

- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

- 1 teaspoon dried oregano

- Salt and pepper to taste


1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.


2. In a small bowl, mix together the chipotle powder, smoked paprika, dried oregano, and a pinch of salt and pepper.


3. Place the shucked oysters on a large piece of foil.


4. Drizzle the olive oil over the oysters, making sure they are evenly coated.


5. Sprinkle the chipotle seasoning mixture over the oysters, making sure each one is covered.


6. Place the foil with the oysters on the grill and cook for 5-6 minutes, or until the edges of the oysters start to curl.


7. While the oysters are cooking, heat a small pan over medium heat and add the minced garlic. Cook for 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant.


8. Once the oysters are done cooking, remove them from the grill and place them on a serving dish.


9. Drizzle the garlic over the oysters.


10. Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious and smoky chipotle oysters!
