Spicy lamb with chickpeas

For a no-fuss everyday meal try spicy lamb with chickpeas




- 1 lb lamb, cut into bite-sized pieces

- 1 can of chickpeas, drained and rinsed

- 2 tablespoons olive oil

- 1 teaspoon cumin

- 1 teaspoon paprika

- 1 teaspoon garlic powder

- 1 teaspoon onion powder

- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

- Salt and pepper to taste








1. In a small bowl, mix together the cumin, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. This will be the spice mix for the lamb.


2. Heat a large pan over medium-high heat and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil.


3. Add the lamb pieces to the pan and sprinkle half of the spice mix over the top. Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the lamb is browned on all sides.


4. Remove the lamb from the pan and set aside on a plate.


5. In the same pan, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil and the drained chickpeas. Sprinkle the remaining spice mix over the chickpeas and stir to coat.


6. Cook the chickpeas for 2-3 minutes, until slightly crispy.


7. Return the lamb to the pan with the chickpeas and stir to combine.


8. Reduce the heat to medium and let the lamb and chickpeas cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, until the lamb is cooked through and the chickpeas are heated through.


9. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.


10. Serve the spicy lamb and chickpeas over rice or with a side of vegetables for a delicious and easy meal. Enjoy!
