- 1 lb chicken breast, thinly sliced
- 1 head of broccoli, cut into bite-sized florets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 cups cooked rice
Direction:
1. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, honey, and water. Set aside.
2. In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat.
3. Add the chicken slices to the skillet and season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
4. Stir fry the chicken for about 5-6 minutes until it is cooked through and slightly browned.
5. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside on a plate.
6. In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil.
7. Add the broccoli florets to the skillet and season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
8. Stir fry the broccoli for about 3-4 minutes until it is slightly tender.
9. Add the cooked chicken back into the skillet with the broccoli.
10. Pour the soy sauce and honey mixture over the chicken and broccoli. Stir to coat everything evenly.
11. Continue to cook for another 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens and the chicken and broccoli are fully cooked.
12. Serve the sweet and spicy stir fry over cooked rice.
13. Optional: Garnish with sesame seeds or green onions for added flavor and presentation. Enjoy!
