Taco Salad

When it comes to healthy salads, none are more hearty than a taco salad. Load it up with veggies, cheese, and ground beef for the perfect satisfying meal. We love this classic version, but if you want to get fancy, feel free to swap in and out your fave toppings.


- Ground beef

- Taco seasoning

- Olive oil

- Lettuce

- Tomatoes

- Red onion

- Avocado

- Corn

- Black beans

- Shredded cheese

- Tortilla chips


1. Start by heating a tablespoon of olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.


2. Add the ground beef to the pan and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula as it cooks.


3. Once the beef is fully cooked, add 2 tablespoons of taco seasoning and stir to combine. Let it cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.


4. In a separate bowl, prepare the salad. Roughly chop the lettuce and place it in a large mixing bowl. Dice the tomatoes and red onion and add them to the bowl as well.


5. Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and slice the flesh into cubes. Add it to the salad bowl.


6. Drain and rinse the corn and black beans, then add them to the bowl.


7. Toss the salad with a tablespoon of olive oil to coat all the ingredients.


8. Now it's time to assemble the taco salad. Start by placing a bed of the seasoned ground beef on a plate or in a bowl.


9. Top the beef with a generous helping of the salad mixture.


10. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the top of the salad.


11. Crush a handful of tortilla chips and sprinkle them over the salad for some added crunch.


12. Serve and enjoy your delicious taco salad! Feel free to add any additional toppings of your choice, such as salsa, sour cream, or diced jalapenos.
