Vegan cherry & almond brownies

Deeply rich and decadent, this dairy and egg-free chocolate bake makes an indulgent vegan treat

Ingredients:

- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

- 1 cup sugar

- 1/2 cup cocoa powder

- 1 tsp baking powder

- 1/4 tsp salt

- 1/2 cup olive oil

- 1 cup almond milk

- 1 tsp vanilla extract

- 1/2 cup vegan chocolate chips

- 1/2 cup chopped almonds

- 1/2 cup pitted and chopped cherries

- Olive oil, for greasing the pan

Direction:

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease an 8x8 inch baking pan with olive oil.

2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.

3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the olive oil, almond milk, and vanilla extract until well combined.

4. Slowly pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.

5. Gently fold in the vegan chocolate chips, chopped almonds, and chopped cherries into the batter.

6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth out the top with a spatula.

7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

8. Let the brownies cool in the pan for 15 minutes before removing them from the pan and slicing into squares.

9. Serve and enjoy your delicious vegan cherry & almond brownies! You can also drizzle some olive oil on top for extra flavor.

Optional: You can also sprinkle some dried spices, such as cinnamon or nutmeg, on top of the batter before baking for an extra kick of flavor.
